| Who We Are … |
| Gift2Care.org is an international, nonprofit relief organization with headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Florida, USA, and with offices in Bradenton, FL. We are committed to improving the quality of life by providing food, clean water, medicine, clothing, shelter, educational assistance, and other necessities to children and their families who lack these essentials due to famine, poverty or natural disaster. We have been providing relief privately and anonymously since 2008 to The African Countries, Pakistan, Haiti and United States. In December 2011 when Typhoon Sendong caused devastations in the Philippines, we decided to act publicly by collecting donations and provide relief directly to the victims through our own volunteers so 100% of donations benefit the victims and with the help of our own well managed volunteers committed to provide food, water and basic essentials directly to the victims (not the local officials). We completed Gift2Care Typhoon Sendong Project Phase I from Dec 21st through Dec 31th 20122 helped Barangays (Ipunan, Bulua, Pagatpat, Canitoan, Macasandig in Cagayan De Oro) and January 29th through February 6, 2012 helped Relocation sites ( Sta. Fe Gym, E. Chavez, San Roque,Upper Hilplano, Madrasha, Luinab, Santiago Gym , Villa Verde, Ubaldo Laya, Tambacan,and La vil gym in Iligan City) with only total of donation of $5,400.43 over 12,000 victims of Typhoon Sendong) who lost some of their family members and homes along with all of their possessions. A heartbreaking situation in which 1010 people died, 1603 injured, 51 still missing and 432 rescued. Typhoon Sendong affected 739 Barangays, 50 Municipalities, 8 Cities in the 13 Provinces of VI,VII, IX, X, XI, CARAGA and ARMM is 92,964 families (641,098 persons) need help and now we are working on Gift2Care Typhoon Sendong (Washi) Phase II Iligan City. We pledge not to stop until we have reached all the victims of this devastating Flash Flood. We focus our attention to provide relief to people who for some reason did not receive any aid from other organizations and they feel like they have been forgotten. Our own team of volunteers search and address these issues then we provide relief. Our ultimate goal is to help families in need move beyond needing help and into becoming self-sufficient members of their communities. Through counseling, education and guidance funded by generous donors like you, families increase their ability to become self-sufficient by learning and applying new, marketable skills. We’re concentrating our efforts in the Philippines due to the recent Typhoon Sendong (Washi) flood disaster killing and displacing thousands, who need basic necessities just to survive. Additionally We are helping less fortunate families and disaster victims in the United States of America and Haiti who have been affected by natural disasters (tornado, flood …) or loss of income are unable to feed their children and families providing basic essentials … We Need Your Support… Your Heartly Donation to Gift2Care.org continue the mission. |
